Scanning receipts
How to Scan a Receipt
2 min read
Scanning is the heart of SpendFlow. From opening the app to a saved receipt is five taps.
- 1
Tap Scan
Tap the raised Scan button in the middle of the bottom bar. The scanner opens full screen.
- 2
Choose the company (optional)
If the purchase was for a business, pick the company at the top of the capture screen. The choice stays for every receipt you scan in a row, so a whole stack goes to the same place.
- 3
Take the photo
Lay the receipt on a flat surface in good light and fit the whole receipt inside the frame. Or tap Gallery to pick a photo you already took, or Upload PDF for an emailed receipt.
Turn on "Also keep the photo in your device gallery" in Profile → Receipt Settings if you want a copy on your phone.

Let the AI read it
SpendFlow reads the merchant, totals, card and items. This usually takes a few seconds.
- 5
Review and save
Check the fields and the items. Fix anything that is off, then tap Save. From the saved screen you can view the receipt or tap Scan Another.
